Tips and strategies to use while playing with poker rooms not on Gamstop

To increase your chances of winning with the poker sites not on gamstop UK we've shown you on our list above, you can make use of different strategies. That's actually one of the best things about poker, the fact that you don't need to count on luck only.

But, there's no single best strategy to implement, nor can the same thing be used for all different poker variants. So let's take a look at some of the general tips which you can twist and adapt to try and gain the upper hand at different cash tables and tournaments.

Know the rules

If you sit at a poker table knowing nothing about how's the game played, you're about to lose. Quickly. That's why it's much better to learn the ropes of the particular poker variant and then try to play it for real money. Don't hesitate to use the demo mode to get some hands-on experience.

You need to understand the pros and cons of different hands and their values, what are the chances of your hand improving with the next card dealt and what is the value of your current position.

Use aggression carefully

Use aggressive style when appropriate. Don't always be too cautious. Poker offers lots of room for aggressive play, forcing other players to fold early or to up their stakes and increase the pot.

Of course, that's something to be done on good hands only and in an organized fashion. If you agressively up the pot on all kinds of hands, even if you don't have a chance to win, you'll soon find your bankroll empty.

The vitue of patience

One rule you'll see repeated more and more when looking through poker strategies is to fold more hands than you play. Because, sure, this might look a bit boring but it's the safest way to guarantee you won't go through all your chip stack before getting a good hand.

And use that as a time to watch how other players behave, too, so as to gauge if they're bluffing frequently, if they're going to aggressive on good hands, etc. That way you'll be able to use those observations as a way to gauge what cards they might be having later on.

Know how to bluff

Bluffing can turn to be quite an important skill whenever you're playing poker. But you need to know when to bluff, as well as how to do so, in order to make it successfully, decide on whether it's going well or you're better off folding and avoiding your bluff being called out.

Manage your bankroll

One of the most important tips to be successfull in playing poker in the long term is knowing how to manage your bankroll. Only play with money you can afford losing, make sure you're not risking with all-ins when there isn't a very good reason for that and make sure your bluffs don't eat up all your stack.

Start small, learn the ropes and don't chase losses. Take regular breaks and make use of the casinos' deposit limits and session reminders tools so as to keep a better track and control of how much money and time you're spending on playing poker.

How to discover the best uk poker sites not on gamstop?

If you're wondering how can you discover the best poker sites not on gamstop yourself, well, we've got a quick checklist of the most important factors to consider.

License and reputation

Whenever you're looking for legit UK poker sites not on Gamstop, one of the main considerations to factor in for your choice is whether the platform's licensed by a reputable gambling regulation. Now, understandable, to be a non Gamstop brand, it needs to not be licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. But there are various other regulators who are just as safe and legit, such as the Malta Gaming Authority, the Curacao Gaming Control Board, the Anjouan Gaming Commission, etc.

Do pay attention to if the gambling site has proper licensing and if offers you a safe, secure and trusworthy gaming experience.

Bonus structure

Many non Gamstop poker sites feature casino bonuses (including for the games within the poker section) but no two of them are alike. There are differences in what you'd be offered to get in terms of match percentage, max bonus, free spins, free chips for poker tables, free tournament entry tickets and so on. And then there are lots of differences in relation to the wagering requirements, the validity periods, the max conversion rates and even if the bonus is a sticky or a non-sticky one.

That's why one of the most important things to check out prior to deciding on a poker platform you'd be joining is what kinds of promotions it offers you and if they're any good.

Poker games

Another important thing to keep in mind is, of course, what kinds of poker rooms not on Gamstop you'll be offered. Is your favorite type of poker provided? Are there any cash games, video poker tables, live ones or tournaments? Do consider the variety of poker titles prior to joining.

Alternative casino titles

And you can also look through the alternative casino games you'll be provided with. Are those varied enough to make your time exciting? Will they allow you to play on all sorts of game mechanics you fancy? Which developers supply the given site? Those are all questions which can help you decide on whether a given non UK site is worth your time and money.

Betting markets

Many offshore sites combined casino games and sports betting in one. If you feel like enjoying both, you can check to see if the given platform supports that. And do remember to take a look at the actual betting coverage, not just the availability or lack of such. Look for in-play betting, odds quality, additional features and live streaming, too.

Payment options

Do consider what options you're provided with for deposits and withdrawals. After all, you need an easy way to credit some money into your wallet and then cash your winnings out. Take a look at what are the min and max limits for that, too, as well as what are the processing times on withdrawals.

Customer support

The support service is also something to keep in mind. With all of our featured poker sites you'll receive 24/7 live chat support with quick response times. That's the most convernient way to get your questions answered and your issues solved.

Mobile play

There are many non Gamstop sites offering poker games both on desktop and on mobile. And if you feel like enjoying your favorite games on the go, do pay attention as to which poker sites not on Gamstop support that. And how exactly. Because while with some there are dedicated native apps, with other brands you'll be able to play through your mobile phone browser.

Player reviews

You can also check out what are other players saying about a particular poker site not on Gamstop. That will help you understand better its pros and cons. Do be wary of fake positive reviews or fake negative ones, though, because not all player opinions online are truly legit. We help you gauge those better within our separate expert reviews on the best online poker sites mentioned above and many other alternative casino sites you might have decided on checking out.
